Why putting babies down drowsy doesn’t always work?

A lot of new parents are always in search of ways they can teach their babies how to fall asleep independently with as little protest as possible. If you search for tip on how to do this, the main piece of advice that a parent finds is put your baby down drowsy but awake. This is supposed to help your baby fall asleep easier and faster. But what happens when your baby just doesn’t fall asleep?

Why putting babies down drowsy doesn't always work?

The number one reason is why this happens is when babies reach the drowsy stage, parents are the ones that get them to this point. So rocking, or feeding to the drowsy stage. Then you put them down and BAM…… they become very agitated and the protest starts. This can go on for several mins to an hour.

They have then passed the overtired threshold. Getting them to fall asleep past this point can be very difficult and the more time that passed
