Client often ask:
Does sleep training program work?
Sleep teaching is like anything else you attempt. If you are consistent with it, and really work at it, it does work. Sometimes the child will take to it like duck to water, others it takes a lot of consistency and patience. However in the long run, it is definitely worth it to get your child sleeping through the night.
How Do I Know if Sleep training Is Right for Me?
This is the purpose for the free consultation call. This is when you tell me what is going on with your little one, we go over parenting style, what methods you are comfortable with, and you ask me any questions you may have. Then once you think it over, and you feel this is what is right for you and your family, we can then move forward. If, however, you feel this isn’t what is best at this time, you are under no obligation.
Do You Work With Elder Childs?
I do work with children up to the age of 6. I find that any children older than that the parents seem to have a hard time sticking to the plan if their child is consistently resistant to it, and the goal is successfully getting the child sleeping through the night.
Do You Offer Ongoing Consulting Services?
I sure do. You can purchase add on’s if you need extra or on- going support. I want you to feel confident with your child’s sleep before my services end.
How do you feel about crying?
This is such a sensitive topic for parents (mothers, especially). Crying is the way your baby communicates with you. Whether they are hungry, tired, or feeling yucky, it is crying that alerts us that they want something or need something. When your baby is used to a certain way of falling asleep (rocking, or nursing to sleep), they are certainly going to protest when you start switching things up. Depending on how much crying you are willing to let happen, is how I create the sleep plan for your little one. I want this transition for them to be as positive, and as easy as possible.
Rachael Horne
Certified Sleep Sense™ Sleep Consultant
At a young age I always had a great love for children, so I started babysitting at the age of nine and ran a successful little business.
As a young mother of three I still had a great love of children that led me back to school to study early childhood development and open another business, A childcare facility which I ran successfully for 7 years.
Kind Words
Rachael was such a pleasure to work with throughout this whole process. She gave me the confidence and knowledge to sleep train my daughter how I most felt comfortable and was always quick to get back to me with the greatest suggestions. I was surprised how fast my daughter took to Rachael’s plan, and even more surprised and happy she was sleeping 12 straight hours in under three weeks! Thank you so much, Rachael, I 100% could not have done it without you!
Rachael, saved my marriage and my sanity. There is so much literature and information on sleep training that I felt overwhelmed and lost. However, the fact that you made personal phone calls with me and got to know more about my son, it gave me complete faith, and everything you suggested seemed right. I tried the Ferber method before and I did not want to go that route again. I would recommend you to all friends and family members. My husband and I can not believe our son is sleep trained and neither can my family and friends. You are amazing, Rachael. Thank you so much!
